Read the light

Visit at different times.
Daylight changes the way a room feels. If possible, view a home at more than one time of day and notice where the sun falls, how deep it reaches and which rooms stay shaded.
Look beyond the window.
Consider the view, privacy and the surrounding buildings. A large window is only part of the story; the position of the room and what sits beyond the glass matter just as much.
Think about your routine.
A bright breakfast corner or a shaded workspace can make the everyday experience of a home more comfortable. Picture the activities you will actually do there, rather than an empty room.
